Ashley McWhirter embarked on her journey in the hairdressing industry by attending Selkirk College in 2007, where she obtained her license in May 2008. With a dedication to excellence, Ashley pursued further education, acquiring certifications in beauty-safe practices, barbacide, and COVID-19 barbacide protocols. After honing her skills at various salons, including Headstart in Penticton and Attitude Hair Design as a sole proprietor, Ashley’s passion for hairstyling led her to Body and Sol, where she dedicated her talents from 2014 to 2022. In July 2022, Ashley realized her dream of entrepreneurship by opening Livy Lou’s Hair Design. At her salon, Ashley rents out two chairs to fellow stylists, Tarryn and Dayna, fostering a collaborative and vibrant environment for clients seeking personalized hair care experiences.
Tarryn Attril

Tarryn’s journey in the hairstyling industry began with her enrollment at Penticton School of Hair in September 2011, graduating in 2012. She solidified her expertise by earning her Red Seal Occupational Standard in Edmonton, 2013. She began her love for hairdressing working at Body and Sol from 2012 to 2020, and with a dedication to continuous improvement, Tarryn furthered her skills by acquiring certifications in beauty-safe practices and attending numerous online and in-person education classes in Kelowna, BC. Tarryn has been an integral part of the Penticton hairdressing community for 10+ years, bringing her passion for hairstyling to clients seeking personalized and exceptional hair care experiences.
Dayna Maidens
Stylist
Dayna Maidens’ journey into hairstyling began with a family legacy, as she inherited her grandfather’s clippers and a passion for the craft. Under the mentorship of Linda in the Comox Valley, Dayna flourished, attending Vidal Sassoon workshops in New York City to refine her skills. After co-founding Altitude Hair Design near the Penticton Airport in 2001, Dayna then joined Livy Lou’s Hair Design in October 2023, where she continues to thrive alongside equally talented stylists, fulfilling her lifelong dream of creating beautiful hair in a vibrant and welcoming environment.
